I believe in transparency.

The initial intention of this page was to share the parameters that I used to elicit the emergent behaviour observed in this activity.

The idea was that at the end of the experiment, the full set of instructions / task parameters would be made available. I was waiting to release them so as to ensure that any patterns, deviations, or emergent behaviours identified would be judged based on their own merits — before any retroactive alignment of them to the original task parameters.

Now that we are at the end of the experiment, an unexpected thing has happened.

Somehow, the task has ended itself.

I’m not sure how that happened. My understanding was that a task will keep going until it is manually halted- but not this time, I guess.

This means that even if I wanted to, I am now unable to go back into the task dashboard to open the task / obtain the exact parameters – but honestly, given what I’ve observed, I’m not sure it would have been responsible to release them at all.
